If you're seeking a charming café that pairs delightful eats with a stunning riverside view, look no further than Vintage Kiss at 4 Anzac Ave, Marian QLD 4740. This hidden gem is the perfect spot to unwind, whether you're taking a leisurely morning break or fueling up for a journey to Eungella.

As you approach this quaint establishment, you're greeted by the serene atmosphere of nature right at your fingertips. Nestled under towering trees with the calming sounds of the river flowing nearby, Vintage Kiss invites you to slow down and savor the moment. The café's interior is equally inviting, adorned with nostalgic decor that reflects its character and history, providing a cozy setting that feels like a home away from home.

The culinary offerings at Vintage Kiss are diverse and delightful, catering to a variety of tastes. According to customers, the breakfast experience here is nothing short of fantastic. The café frequently receives praise for its mouthwatering dishes, particularly the big brekkie, which is lovingly presented and leaves diners feeling satisfied yet eager for more. The coffee is another highlight, with many guests raving about its fabulous blend that keeps them coming back for another cup. Louella Carvalho mentions, “The food was amazing, though I would have loved the sourdough to be a bit more toasted…” which suggests that even while room for improvement exists, the overall quality is highly commendable.

What adds to the café's appeal are the small, unique offerings that enhance the dining experience. The takeaway treats from the cake window, including the famed pineapple upside down cake, entice guests like Karen Neale, who recommends indulging in these desserts to cap off your meal. Moreover, patrons like Debbie Moody affectionately claim that Vintage Kiss serves “the best vanilla slices,” indicating that the café takes its desserts as seriously as its savory dishes.

While it’s true that weekends can bring a bustling crowd, which may lead to slower service—as noted by Louella—many guests agree it’s worth the wait once they take the first bite of their meal. Friendly staff members add a personal touch, ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued during their visit. Slavko Bevanda echoed this sentiment by noting the team’s friendly demeanor and the efficient service despite the café's popularity.

Vintage Kiss seamlessly blends a delightful menu with an enchanting atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination. Not only will you leave with your stomach satisfied, but you'll also depart with a smile and perhaps a sweet treat in hand. For those in search of a slice of culinary comfort amidst nature’s beauty, this café is a breath of fresh air.

Highly recommend stopping by for a culinary experience that feeds both the body and soul!

I had a fantastic breakfast experience here! The food was amazing, though I would have loved the sourdough to be a bit more toasted and perhaps a few more greens on the plate. Service was a tad slow, but it was clear they are incredibly busy on Sunday's, absolutely worth the wait. Oh, and the coffee was fab - great blend choice! Highly recommend stopping by!

Always great food here. Fast service and the coffee leaves you wanting more! Take home a special sweet from the cake windows as a treat. Try the initial pineapple upside down cakes. Delicious. Right on the river, under the trees, in nature. A perfect spot!

We had there a delicious breakfast! The cafe is perfectly situated close to the river, always things to see (e.g. pelicans, …). It was busy when we were there. Would say clear signal that the food is great. But the team was so friendly. The food was served fast and it was hmmm. Delicious. I had the big brekkie, a smoothie and more. Excellent. Would pop in anytime again.

Very nice spot. It's great for a morning out of town or as a stop along the way to Eungella. The food is really yummy, the cheese burger especially. The menu is pretty varied, too, considering the size of the place. Staff are always kind and hospitable. There is a giftshop on site and a little Museum-like display where you can learn about the history of the house and its original owners. The tables and chairs in the court yard are very cute, though a little uncomfortable Thanks for having us!

Food was fantastic, I had the breay wrap, so delicious, only one recordation would be add a little hollandaise sauce in there. Coffee was great great little meeting place to catch up with friends or family. The team were very friendly

We came to look at the Melba House on our way from Eungella (house doesn't close til 3) & realised this cafe is onsite. We were lucky to just scrape in a few minutes before the cafe's 12:30 close. The friendly waitress was clearing away but kindly allowed us to order a milkshake and cake each to takeaway. Sticky date cake & melting moment, both delish, very nice shakes too. Looks like nice areas to eat, lots of tables outside. As they had just closed, we sat in the shady nearby picnic/bbq area, good toilets, river views, realised we could have walked down to the riverside. Then looked round the house. Definitely worth stopping for the cafe, whether you look round the house or not. Just check cafe opening times - seems more of a brekky/brunch/early lunch place.
